• Felipe

The man behind the tools. Felipe is a workshop wizard who left the rocky and dusty landscape of Chile for the mountain bike culture and legendary trails of New Zealand.

He’s a self professed bike geek who is always searching out a new place to ride.  Felipe has been riding bikes since he was a child, pretty soon he was on the tools helping to fix his friends bikes.  One thing led to another and he became bike mechanic after quitting his office job and realising that dirty hands were cooler than wearing a tie.

Felipe raced downhill and enduro for a few years but became a little too broken to continue. So now he purely rides for fun!  He travels to Rotorua as often as possible, but loves all the great spots Auckland has to offer.  Although he does prefer the muddy roots of Riverhead and the surfing sands of Muriwai.

First Bike – Steel Hardtail Mountain Bike

Current Bike – Trek Fuel EXE + Banshee Paradox + Marin Gravel

Interesting Fact – 8 shoulder dislocations and counting + coil or nothing.

  • Bruce

Bruce, the founder of the business, is the one behind sales and marketing. He’s a jack-of-all-trades, often found behind the computer managing systems or ordering the next batch of products.

Bruce lives just up the road with his wife, Susan, and their two kids, Easton and Mackenzie – all of whom love hitting the trails on their bikes. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, Bruce enjoys hopping on his bike, any bike! Road and gravel during the week, and mountain biking on the weekends.

His go-to spots are Woodhill or 440 Mountain Bike Park, but if time allows, he’s up for trips to Rotorua or Queenstown!

Bruce has been riding since he was five, and while he may not be the fastest, he’s had his fair share of DH and Enduro races, as well as the occasional road race and triathlon.

First Bike – Healing 24″ BMX

Current Bike – Soma Wolverine Flatbar, Chapter 2 Koko Road Bike and a Forbidden Druid V2 for MTB duties

Interesting Fact – Left school at 17 to join the Navy.  Here, Bruce worked as navigator driving a frigate for a living.
