• Felipe

The man behind the tools. Felipe is a workshop wizard who left the rocky and dusty landscape of Chile for the mountain bike culture and legendary trails of New Zealand.

He’s a self professed bike geek who is always searching out a new place to ride.  Felipe has been riding bikes since he was a child, pretty soon he was on the tools helping to fix his friends bikes.  One thing led to another and he became bike mechanic after quitting his office job and realising that dirty hands were cooler than wearing a tie.

Felipe raced downhill and enduro for a few years but became a little too broken to continue. So now he purely rides for fun!  He travels to Rotorua as often as possible, but loves all the great spots Auckland has to offer.  Although he does prefer the muddy roots of Riverhead and the surfing sands of Muriwai.

First Bike – Steel Hardtail Mountain Bike

Current Bike – Forbidden Druid + Banshee Paradox

Interesting Fact – 8 shoulder dislocations and counting + coil or nothing.

  • Jerry

Responsible for looking after the relationships with our local bike shop network, Jerry has spent the best part of 25 years selling everything from engineering products, to mobile phones to pet food!  Jerry got back into the outdoor sports game in 2006 after returning from an extended stay in the UK.

He has been riding bikes for as long as he can remember, but can still recall his first bicycle – which eventually met an untimely end after being sent off homemade jumps one too many times! Introduced to Mountain biking in 1990, Jerry’s first MTB was a Marin palisades trail and he took that bike everywhere.  Hopefully so did the guy who rode off on it after Jerry left it outside the dairy one night – valuable lesson learned about locking bikes that night.

A dedicated commuter, you will find him on his trusty steed most days, but will take any opportunity to get out on the trails, usually somewhere in Riverhead or at Woodhill. Although if time allows he also loves spending time on the trails in Rotorua.

First Bike – Healing “Sixteen” Metallic Green

Current Bike – Custom Cannondale Bad-Boy for the commute, Forbidden Druid for the Trails

Interesting Fact – An avid movie fan, I have an almost inexhaustible amount of movie quotes that I regularly inflict on innocent bystanders.

  • Bruce

Bruce is the GDB (General Dogs Body) and owner.  He turns his hands to most tasks but is generally found behind the computer wrangling the accounts or ordering the next batch of product.

He lives just up the road with his wife, Susan and 2 kids, Easton and Mackenzie – who all love getting out on their bikes.  When not working or at home with the family, Bruce likes to get on his bike – any bike!  Road & gravel during the week and mountain biking in the weekend.

Woodhill or 440 Mountain Bike Park are the usual destinations.  But when time allows Rotorua or Queenstown trips are on the cards!

Bruce has been riding since he was 4 and has raced DH and Enduro (albeit not fast!) plus the occasional road race and triathlon.

First Bike – Healing 24″ BMX

Current Bike – Open UP ‘Groad’ Build and a Forbidden Druid for MTB duties

Interesting Fact – Left school at 17 to join the Navy.  Here, Bruce worked as navigator driving a frigate for a living.

  • John

At age 11 and having no idea that mountain biking was a sport, being showed the Collective Roam film opened a new world for John. Luckily enough for him, a family friend had an Iron Horse Sunday collecting dust in the garage and that bike soon became where all his free time was spent. A few years of racing downhill later, birthday presents changed from toys to truckloads of dirt to build jumps in the yard.

After spending some time in Europe racing and riding, he returned to NZ to work as a Mountain Bike Instructor at Christchurch Adventure Park and Cardrona Bike park. After a change of scene and having never ridden in Auckland previously, he has decided to make the move north and join the 3Sixty team. John is responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse as well as supporting Felipe and our workshop customers.

John still races Downhill and plans to race the National series for the foreseeable future.

First Bike – Iron Horse Sunday

Current bike – Banshee Titan, Forbidden Dreadnought and Norco Rampage

Interesting fact – Qualified Ski Instructor and worked a season at Porters Ski field.
